6 Unique Gift Ideas for Business Clients

 In Business, Resources

As an entrepreneur, I’ve made it a practice to send a gift of appreciation to valued clients and business associates during the holidays. But I have a rule when it comes to gift-giving: I like to avoid the typical, run-of-the-mill options. I feel that giving something unique reflects a bit more thoughtfulness and gratitude. Since the holidays are upon us, I’ve put together six gift ideas you can send to clients, business associates, referrals, or even friends and family. Happy gifting!

Personalized Cookies
This year, I fell in love with the gorgeous decorated cookies by a local Indiana women-owned business called Bites and Blessings. I knew after tasting these delicious treats and seeing how cute they are decorated that I wanted to give them as client gifts. Bites and Blessings created an amazing personalized cookie box for me to give my clients. The cookies featured my logo, my “What’s your story?” tagline, notebook paper and a pencil (to go with my writing theme). Bites and Blessings is amazing and can do several types of logo cookies, and they do it all by hand!

Sugarwish
Everyone I’ve ever sent a Sugarwish to has raved about how much they love the concept. Sugarwish allows you to send candy to a recipient along with a personalized message. But here’s the best part: When the recipient receives her Sugarwish e-card, she gets to choose her favorite candies. Once the treats are selected, Sugarwish packages them in individual bags and ships it in a beautiful blue box. Who doesn’t ant to receive personalized candy in the mail? Sugarwish gifts range from $16.50 – $95. You can also create a business account, which has its own benefits and is recommended if you plan to send several wishes to clients and business associates (and trust me, you’ll want to!).

Thougtfully
This new gift box service is a great idea for gifts for clients and colleagues far away. Each Thoughtfully gift is curated with fun gifts that fit with the box’s theme. I recently received the Birthday Cup Cake box and loved it! Some of their noteworthy boxes include the Coffee Junkie or The Science of Cold Brew packed with coffee beans, mugs and relevant items. Cheers to Art includes a mini canvas, paint and brushes, easel, candy, wine glasses and coasters — everything one needs to have a cozy Canvas and Wine evening at home. There’s also Movie Night, Sweet as Pie, Breakfast in Bed, and Tequila Cantina, just to name a few! Thoughtfully gift boxes are also beautifully wrapped and start at $29.99.

Lovepop Greeting Card
This is not your typical holiday card! Lovepop cards are 3D paper pop-up greeting cards that double as a beautiful keepsake that unfolds like a miniature surprise. I have been a huge fan of these cards since seeing them on “Shark Tank” a while back. They are so intricately designed that the card makes a wonderful gift and decoration on its own. Prices start at $10 (and include free shipping). Make sure to check out the holiday package sets, including the White Elephant Christmas 10-Pack, if you have several greetings to send.

Lola’s Mercadito
I met Dolores (Lola) Wiarco Dweck many years ago in San Diego when she told me about her blog, Lola’s Cocina, which is a chronicle of traditional family recipes. That day, Lola gifted me samples of her homemade Salsa Negra and Hibiscus Jam. Both were incredibly delicious and I’ve been begging her to sell them ever since. She just recently opened Lola’s Mercadito that includes her gourmet food items and chucherías (knick knacks) for the home and kitchen. I love that these foods are unique and cannot be found elsewhere. Plus, Lola donates a portion of her proceeds to support the advancement of young women in education, business, and leadership. Prices range from $2 – $75 with a variety of options in between.

Mini Library Scented Tea Lights
These unique Library Scented Tea Light candles are perfect if you are in the writing or literary world. Each of the ten scents are named for a particular novel or literary period. The Scarlet Letter is a sweet and seductive fragrance, with hints of wild red roses and black currant. Other tea lights in the set include Walden Woods, Burning Books, Aged Paper and Café Au Library. The set is sold for $15 on Uncommon Goods. Pair the candles with a Barnes & Noble gift card and it’s guaranteed to be a favorite gift.
